In a candid discussion about player development and performance optimization, Black Stars coach Chris Hughton has voiced a fervent desire to see all his players consistently engaged at the club level.
According to Chris Hughton, it is not easy to get the best out of the players in two days of training but they always try to pick a team that can compete and get a result.
“My problem is I would love all my squad to be playing regular at their clubs but it is not the not the case. Some play regularly some play sporadically, some play at a high level some play at a not so high,” he said.
“So when they are with us it is about what you can get out of them in two days which is difficult we have two days of training before the first game.
“Picking a side that you can compete well and get a result and the second game very much wanting to try something different regards to the formation we want to play,”
Black Stars beat Liberia 3-1 in an international friendly game which was played at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Ernest Nuamah, Mohammed Kudus and Jordan Ayew scored for Ghana. The visitors pulled one back in added time.
