5-Star Texas WR Signee Jaime Ffrench Reveals Plans With Arch Manning

Posted on January 10, 2025 by admin

Steve Sarkisian and the Texas Longhorns will look for a spot in the national championship as they take on the Ohio State Buckeyes in the College Football Playoff semifinals from the Cotton Bowl. Quinn Ewers has been the lead quarterback for Texas for two seasons now and has guided his team to two straight CFP appearances. However, come 2025, backup sensation Arch Manning is expected to take over the starting duties, leaving Ewers’ future up in the air. Manning will be getting a nice addition to his offense come next season in five-star wide receiver Jaime Ffrench (Rivals). Before the Cotton Bowl, Ffrench, a 6-foot-2, 185-pounder out of Mandarin High School (Jacksonville, FL), spoke to Rivals’ Sam Spiegelman about his decision to play in Austin. When asked what he is excited about from the Longhorns’ playoff run, Ffrench shared his thoughts. Texas Longhorns quarterback Arch Manning warms up. The way they distribute the ball, man, it’s where I want to be for sure.” Ffrench then shared his plans once he joins the team in the coming weeks, revealing he wants to build with Manning. “Build with that group, man,” Ffrench added. “Just getting closer with the guys and build with Arch and just speeding up to the process.” Five star Texas signee @jaimeffrenchjr has the Longhorns in the CFB Playoff game and he’s fired up to play for Sark and with Arch Manning https://t.co/VuuPAZaraL@orangebloods_@Rivalspic.twitter.com/2OGcNDklgx — Sam Spiegelman (@samspiegs) January 9, 2025 Ffrench is one of the top-ranked prospects in the class of 2025. He is listed as the 27th-best in his class, including the 6th-best out of Florida and the 2nd-best wide receiver. According to MaxPreps, Ffrench has played in 40 high school games during his time at Mandarin, recording 149 catches for 2,655 yards and 23 touchdowns. Manning had proved he could be the man going forward for Texas after taking over the starting role early in the 2024 season with Ewers sidelined due to injury. In two starts, the freshman quarterback recorded 583 passing yards, four touchdowns and two interceptions while adding another score on the ground. He went 2-0 in those contests. Manning and Ffrench could be a dynamic duo for the Longhorns in the future.
