Pittsburgh Steelers rule out five players against Browns, including speedy wide receiver Posted on November 22, 2024 by admin CLEVELAND — The Pittsburgh Steelers will be without five players against the Cleveland Browns after making them inactive. For the most notable player the Steelers will be missing, outside linebacker Alex Highsmith will not play after suffering an ankle sprain against the Washington Commanders. This will be his second straight missed game. With Highsmith sidelined, the Steelers will start Nick Herbig, and Preston Smith will see more time. Jeremiah Moon could play a bit as the fourth outside linebacker, too. Running back Jonathan Ward and wide receiver Scotty Miller are two other inactives at the skill positions. Those two will not find a spot on the active roster with all the wide receivers and running backs healthy. This is Miller’s second game as an inactive player. It is Ward’s second straight since being signed to the active roster. Meanwhile, offensive guard Max Scharping remains inactive as the team’s ninth offensive lineman. Quarterback Kyle Allen is inactive and will be the Steelers’ emergency third quarterback in the case Russell Wilson and Justin Fields suffered injuries. Related
