The Georgia Bulldogs are no longer in contention to land one star quarterback. Georgia continues to be an appealing landing spot with Carson Beck being a potential candidate to enter the 2025 NFL draft.
It is not all bad news as Georgia just flipped three-star quarterback Hezekiah Millender from his previous commitment to the Boise State Broncos as part of the 2025 class, per On3.com’s Hayes Fawcett.
One four-star quarterback has eliminated Georgia from contention. Instead, the signal-caller has narrowed his focus to the Oregon Ducks and Cal Bears.
The news comes as Georgia prepares to take on the Texas Longhorns in the SEC championship. Georgia is a 2.5-point underdog versus Texas in the SEC title game, per FanDuel.
ESPN’s Eli Lederman reported that Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele canceled a visit to Athens, Ga. and the Dawgs are no longer among the contenders to land the signal-caller. ESPN has Sagapolutele as the No. 17 ranked pocket quarterback in the 2025 class.
“Elsewhere, four-star quarterback Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele — Hawaii’s No. 1 prospect — has narrowed his options to Cal and Oregon after canceling a planned visit to Georgia in Week 14,” Lederman wrote on Nov. 30.
“… Sagapolutele was among the handful of quarterbacks Georgia has targeted in the last month as the Bulldogs seek to add another 2025 passer to go with four-star pledge Ryan Montgomery (No. 115 in the ESPN 300).
