The Boston Bruins handed the Chicago Blackhawks their 4th straight loss which led the Blackhawks to firing their head coach .
Just like the Boston Bruins, the Chicago Blackhawks have now fired their head coach in hopes to turn around their season after a bumpy start, and the Bruins played a surprising role in this.
This firing comes after the Bruins handed the Blackhawks their fourth straight loss to give them a horrible 8-16-2 record on the year.
After firing their head coach as well, the difference is that they have given the interim head-coaching role to their American Hockey League Rockford IceHogs head coach Anders Sorensen. The Boston Bruins, on the other hand, made their assistant coach their interim head coach.
The change has been made due to the Blackhawks having a down year, when they made some big moves in the off-season and should be a better team then what they were last year.
They currently sit dead last in the NHL and only have 18 points in 26 games this year. Although everyone knew the Blackhawks would not be a playoff team this season, many expected them to have a better year this year than last, and there have been rumours lately regarding Richardson being on the hot seat.
