It looks like a lot of pundits are eating their words on Chelsea right now and taking some things back that they had previously said.
Gary Neville is known for criticising Chelsea a lot over time. The failed football manager has made a career out of football punditry after he retired from the game, and despite being a regular Sky Sports pundit and have his own popular podcast show, Neville’s opinions are known to be wild, often inaccurate, and without substance – at least in my opinion and many other fans I speak to.
And it seems that Neville has gone back on some comments he said recently on Chelsea as well, calling them billion-dollar bottle-jobs last season. Enzo Maresca also had something to say back on the comments recently.
To be honest, and to be fair to Neville here at least, Chelsea were in a real rut last season and the couple before that as well. Things were toxic, and it had not been going well at all on the pitch. I think even a lot of Chelsea fans were criticising the club big time at this point, and a lot of that was actually justified.
But even still, Neville just had to go too far and too wild with his criticism
