Fiji Bati rising star Kitione Kautoga has signed for the Paramatta Eels for next year on a development contract.
The NRL club announced his signing over the weekend stating that he would be part of the Top 30 squad.
Parramatta Eels general manager of football Mark O’Neill said Kautoga is an exciting talent who will be a good addition to the squad.
“His inclusion in our preseason training will provide him with an opportunity to integrate into our systems and build relationships with his teammates. We’re confident that under the guidance of our coaching staff, he will continue to grow and thrive,” said O’Neill while speaking to the club’s media team.
Kautoga was granted an early release from former club, the Bulldogs last Friday.
He featured in two first grade games for the Bulldogs this season, playing 13 minutes off the bench against the Storm and 21 minutes off the interchange against the Roosters.
The 22-year-old made his NRL debut in August 2022 for the Wests Tigers.
Kautoga made his international debut for the Fiji Bati last year during the Pacific Bowl Championship in Papua New Guinea.
