Lonzo Ball and the Chicago Bulls are set to face the Indiana Pacers on Sunday at 5 p.m. ET.
While Ball was featured in the Bulls’ pregame graphic, he was ultimately ruled out for the game despite playing in the team’s previous matchup against the Toronto Raptors.
Ball was ruled out with a wrist injury after being listed as questionable the morning of the matchup.
Bulls head coach Billy Donovan announced Ball would be sidelined during the pregame press conference.
Chicago will also be playing without shooting guard Ayo Dosunmu, who recently suffered a season-ending shoulder injury.
Ball has played in 35 games this season, averaging 7.6 points, 3.4 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game. He’s started in 14 games for the Bulls, playing alongside a few rising stars such as Josh Giddey and Matas Buzelis. He has been in and out of Chicago’s lineup, having missed 24 games this year.
Ball will have an opportunity to return to the court on Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET when the Bulls face the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Chicago enters their matchup against the Pacers at No. 10 in the Eastern Conference standings with a 24-36 record.
Despite the loss of Ball on Sunday, the Bulls will continue their playoff hunt, sitting closely behind the Orlando Magic at No. 8 and the Atlanta Hawks at No. 9 in the Eastern Conference standings.
