The Indianapolis Colts have been busy addressing needs in the free agency market, but they haven’t forgotten about all of their in-house free agents.
They inked the first of their in-house free agents of his offseason to a new deal by signing wide receiver and special teamer Ashton Dulin to a two-year contract.
Colts bring WR and special teamer Ashton Dulin back on a new deal
Ashton Dulin first joined the Colts in 2019 as an undrafted free agent out of Malone. Though his contributions as a WR have been minimal, he has carved out a solid role as a special teamer. He is one of the best gunners in the NFL and has earned a second-team All-Pro spot for the position in 2021 from both the Associated Press and Pro Football Focus.
Dulin will never be a top contributor for the Colts in the passing game, but his solid size and track background help him be a solid rotational option when any of the team’s starters are hurt. And this new contract has the Colts keeping their best and most reliable special teamer around for at least another two seasons.
