West Ham pushing for ‘best in the world’ player amid willingness from all parties to get deal done

West Ham United have been busy on the transfer front this summer, with six new signings over the line.

The Hammers hit the ground running early on in the window with the signings of Luis Guilherme, Wes Foderingham and Max Kilman.

West Ham then doubled their tally as they bought Crysencio Summerville and Niclas Fullkrug, as well as signing Guido Rodriguez on a free.

Better still, it doesn’t look like the Hammers are done yet, with another signing potentially on the cards.

Sky Sports journalist Dharmesh Sheth has now reported that there is a willingness from all parties to get this particular deal done.

West Ham still pushing for Manchester United ace Aaron Wan-Bissaka

The deal in question involves Aaron Wan-Bissaka potentially swapping Manchester United for West Ham.

The Hammers have found it a little trickier in talks over Wan-Bissaka than was the case for the likes of Summerville and Fullkrug.

However, it looks as though the deal remains on the right track, according to Sheth.

“West Ham are still pushing to sign Manchester United right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka,” he said on Sky Sports News.

“A lot of the details between the clubs have been agreed but contractual details and terms of his departure with United are still to be finalised.

“There is a willingness from all parties to get a deal done.”

West Ham building a superb team

West Ham could certainly do with strengthening their ranks at right-back, and Wan-Bissaka would certainly be a great shout.

The 26-year-old is talented, experienced, fast, and notoriously difficult to get past when it comes to one-on-ones.

Former Man United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer once called Wan-Bissaka “one of the best one-against-one defensive full-backs in the world”.

Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur’s James Maddison deemed him “probably the best in the world bar none” when it comes to one-on-one defending.

West Ham had a solid squad going into the summer and they’ve been busy adding to it so new manager Julen Lopetegui can hopefully hit the ground running.

Wan-Bissaka would very much be the cherry on top. He would make the Hammers even harder to deal with down the flank.
