Inside the Rebels is set to host its first-ever Ole Miss football preseason bash on Thursday (Aug. 15). The event will be held at OK McGuey’s Mexican Cantina and Grill located at 2570 Jackson Avenue West in Oxford.
The Ole Miss Rebels are preparing to embark upon what could be a historic season. The Rebels are loaded with talent on the offensive and defensive sides of the ball and have a legitimate preseason Heisman Trophy contender in quarterback Jaxson Dart and arguably the best group of wide receivers and tight ends in America.
The event is open to all Ole Miss fans and there is no admission charge.
“We had one of these events for National Signing Day in December and we completely packed the restaurant out,” said Inside the Rebels publisher David Johnson. “We have the entire restaurant reserved exclusively for Ole Miss fans. There will be a full menu and full bar available. We’ll discuss the upcoming season, recruiting and have a Q&A with fans and our readers.
“This is truly one of the most exciting nights of the year for all of us at Inside the Rebels. The spirit of being with fellow Ole Miss fans and discussing what this season could bring to Oxford will be incredible. We’re less than three weeks away from kick off and the excitement is palpable. Our hope is to bring you a little bit of extra insight to this football program.”
Speakers during the evening will include Inside the Rebels publisher David Johnson and football beat writers Jared Redding and Tyler Komis, as well as William Evans, director of development for the Grove Collective. The event will be MC’d by Inside the Rebels contributor Brad Logan.
“We are so excited to be partnered with the Grove Collective for this event. William will be there to talk about the incredible things the Grove Collective has already accomplished, as well as what the future holds,” said Johnson.
