Latest Braves injury leads to slew of hilarious overreactions online from fans
The Atlanta Braves have had just about the worst injury luck possible in 2024.
Despite all of the health misfortune, Atlanta remains in the National League Wild card picture. Winning their last three games has certainly aided the Braves’ cause after a rough stretch to start August. Having a world-class manager like Brian Snitker also helps.
Even so, how many more injuries can Atlanta withstand? Just as the Braves welcomed back Michael Harris II in epic fashion on Wednesday night, outfielder Jorge Soler suffered a hamstring injury that will likely keep him out for a stretch (MRI results pending).
Not surprisingly, Braves fans are at their limit with the injury woes. Soler’s hamstring news elicited collective exasperation mixed with nihilism from Atlanta’s fandom, which was most humorously displayed on X.

All jokes aside, everyone is wishing Soler a speedy recovery from his (hopefully minor) hamstring ailment. Soler didn’t sound too concerned in his postgame presser, but he didn’t sound too excited, either.
For what it’s worth, the Braves are long overdue for a break on the medical front, which could bode well for Soler.
