Barnsley are set to complete the loan signing of midfielder Matthew Craig from Tottenham.
That’s according to a report from Football Insider, who say a number of other clubs had also shown an interest in the 21-year-old.
Having come through the youth ranks with Spurs, Craig made what is to date his only first-team appearance for the club in a 4-1 win over Leeds United in the Premier League in May 2023.
He then spent the second-half of last season on loan with Doncaster Rovers, helping them reach the League Two play-offs, where they were beaten in the semi-finals by Crewe Alexandra.
