According to Team Talk correspondent Fraser Gillan, Todd Cantwell has asked for permission to move on from his current club Rangers. Cantwell (26) was a player of high demand a few seasons back, impressing in Premier League action for Norwich, but with relegation and a difficult relation to the Canaries establishment, he moved to Rangers in 2022.
Todd Cantwell might not be the player Leicester fans would see as the ideal signing at this point, but he is one that is creative and can play well in a set up either just behind the forward or at a flank, if needed.
Listening to Steve Cooper in his recent post match interviews, he looks eager to get a few more bodies into the camp and the positions Todd Cantwell can play in are were Leicester are looking for options. Cooper has a relation to Cantwell from the past, being in the England set up when Cantwell played for their younger teams, earlier being capped at U.17 and U.21 level.
We believe Leicester will have a fight on until the very last day of the transfer window to try to get the balance correctly with moves in and out.
Harry Souttar was not in the Leicester squad yesterday vs Palermo. Reports suggests that he is close to a move away, Rangers being one of the clubs linked in the past and said to have showed interest in his services. A recent reports from Fraser Gillan, says Souttar have a number of options to discuss, possibly also having Rangers among those, but at this point still seeing Sheffield United and Stoke as the top chasers for the Australian international.
