The Arizona State Sun Devils picked up a big commitment on Sunday night from 2026 tight end prospect Hayden Vercher.
Vercher made the announcement on social media, picking Arizona State over Texas Tech, Utah, Arizona, Cal and others.
According to 247Sports, the Thousand Oaks, California native is a three-star prospect, who is ranked as a Top 30 tight end in the country and a Top 60 player in the state of California. In his most recent season, Vercher had 70 catches for 1,011 yards and 11 touchdowns.
At 6’4”, 215 pounds, Vercher joins a 2026 class that is now ranked 26th in the nation, and is led by four-star quarterback Jake Fette from El Paso, Texas. Vercher becomes the second-highest ranked recruit in the class.
Arizona State has five commitments for its 2026 class. Meantime, Arizona State’s 2025 class is ranked 50th in the nation.
