Aston Villa are expected to cool interest in Tottenham-linked Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher to sign Everton midfielder Amadou Onana, according to TEAMtalk.
The news outlet reported on 15 July that the Villans are on the verge of securing the services of the Belgium international.

Everton need to prioritise replacing Amadou Onana properly
Everton must approach replacing Onana with strategic planning as the midfielder appears set to join Villa, a club owned by billionaires Nassef Sawiris and Wesley Edens.
The club need to identify a midfielder who can replicate the Belgian’sversatility and physical presence.
This replacement should be able to contribute defensively while also possessing the technical ability to support the attack as that’s the role Onana excelled at.
Everton could look to sign a younger player with high potential, allowing them to develop and grow within the team.
Alternatively, they could target a more experienced player who can immediately fill the void left by Onana but it may be an expensive deal to do.
The club should also consider the financial implications of any potential signing, ensuring that they are able to secure a player who represents good value for money.
