Wrexham are preparing for their third match of the new season as they switch focus from cup action to the league – travelling to Bolton for a League One fixture.

The Red Dragons are looking to pick up their second win of the season under manager Phil Parkinson.

Wrexham beat Wycombe Wanderers in their opening match of the season, with plenty of positives and negatives to take from the encounter.

After a midweek defeat to Sheffield United in the League Cup, the Welsh outfit will be looking to bounce back in their first-ever League One tie away from the Racecourse Ground.

Bolton Wanderers finished third in the division last term and are expected to prove a tough test for the newly-promoted outfit.

Despite the tie taking place on a Sunday, Wrexham will travel to Bolton for a 3pm kick-off this weekend.

The match will be the 13th competitive meeting between the sides, with the Dragons winning three of those encounters to Bolton’s nine.

Team news

Parkinson is expected to have a largely fit squad available to him for their trip to Bolton.

Paul Mullin underwent surgery over the summer and is set to be their only absentee this weekend barring any fresh concerns.

Bolton will be without Klaidi Lolos for the match after he picked up an injury against Leyton Orient recently.
