Yes, current LSU Tigers head coach Brian Kelly was trending after the game as fans remembered him not being able to get the job done during his time at Notre Dame.
NBC Sports insider Nicole Auerbach posted Kelly’s comments from 2022 after he left Notre Dame to go to LSU.
“I want to be in an environment where I have the resources to win a national championship,” Brian Kelly said.
“Brian Kelly watching Notre Dame win 3 playoff games after he said it could never be done there,” one fan wrote with the photo from Kelly’s infamous table pound at LSU.
That clip from the press conference earlier in the 2024 season recirculated a lot after the game.
