Caitlin Clark Issues Apology to Aliyah Boston on Monday

Posted on March 18, 2025 by admin

While Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark is enjoying her WNBA offseason away from basketball, her teammates, Lexie Hull and Aliyah Boston, made their way to Miami, Florida, for the inaugural season of the 3-on-3 Unrivaled League.

On Monday night, Hull and Rose Basketball Club (BC) defeated Boston and Vinyl BC 62-54 to take home the first-ever Unrivaled championship.

Hull only received four minutes of playing time in the title game and recorded just one assist. Boston, on the other hand, added 10 points and four rebounds in the loss.

Following the game, the Fever took to social media to congratulate Hull on becoming an Unrivaled champion.

“@lexiehulll and Team Rose are your first-ever @unrivaledbasketball champions 🌹🏆 congrats, Lexie!”

Clark was clearly paying attention to the championship battle between her two teammates but felt the need to comfort Boston in the comment section over congratulating Hull. The former Iowa Hawkeyes star issued an apology to Boston after the loss.

“@aliyah.boston you didn’t deserve this. I’m sorry,” Clark commented.

Clark and Boston proved to be one of the better duos in the WNBA during the 2024 season. The two stars, along with Kelsey Mitchell, were named to the All-Star game, leading the Fever to their first playoff appearance since 2016.

Hull became a huge factor for Indiana down the stretch as well, earning a starting spot toward the end of the season and in the playoffs.

Now, Hull will get to enjoy bragging rights over Boston as the Fever get ready for the upcoming 2025 WNBA season, which begins on May 17 against Angel Reese, Hull’s Unrivaled teammate, and the Chicago Sky.
