Chelsea are reportedly not expected to launch another swoop for Victor Osimhen in the January transfer window, just months after they missed out on a deal for the free-scoring and in-demand Nigeria international.
The 25-year-old joined Galatasaray on a season-long loan from Napoli last summer – after his relationship with the Serie A outfit broke down.
Since moving to Turkey, Osimhen has scored 12 goals from 15 matches across all competitions, two of which came in last month’s Europa League victory over Tottenham Hotspur.
But, according to The Athletic, Chelsea will not make a new play for the Napoli striker in the New Year.
As reported by football.london in September, Chelsea launched a last-ditch attempt to sign Osimhen on a season-long loan and even proposed an obligation to buy him at the end of the season.
However, it is now suggested the Blues, who are currently second in the Premier League table, are not looking to bolster their squad in the upcoming January transfer window.
