The Pittsburgh Steelers will face the Dallas Cowboys in Week 5 at Acrisure Stadium. After Cowboys’ defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer did an interview with the Star Tribune in Minnesota about his time with the Minnesota Vikings, it came up that the team tried to trade up for Steelers quarterback Justin Fields in the 2021 NFL Draft.
At the time, Vikings general manager Rick Spielman and Zimmer, the head coach of the Vikings, did not see eye to eye. Spielman would make moves without Zimmer’s approval, including pursuing Fields in the first round. Zimmer says that he believed Fields did nothing to stand out to him.
