Cowboys Reveal Answer To Question Of CeeDee Lamb Surgery

Posted on December 27, 2024 by admin
“My shoulder’s out of whack, I’m not even going to lie to you,” CeeDee Lamb says. “I’m just out there battling and do what I do. It’s not fun.”

FRISCO – The Dallas Cowboys are shutting down CeeDee Lamb as he’s been playing through the pain barrier with his AC joint injury.

That’s bad news for the team’s chances of playing spoiler Sunday at the Philadelphia Eagles. It’s bad news for fantasy football owners of the talented Lamb, who now finishes another All-Pro year with 101 catches for 1,194 yards and six TDs.

But there is good news here: The shoulder issue – nasty as it is, with Lamb noting it is “out of whack” – will not require surgery.

That’s the word from the Cowboys on Thursday, who in their announcement write …

“Additional examinations and scans this week on CeeDee Lamb’s shoulder have determined that his injury has now progressed to a point that he will be listed as “Out” for the remaining two games of the season.

“He will undergo a process of treatment and rehabilitation for his shoulder, is not currently expected to require surgery and is projected to make a full recovery.”

Lamb himself has made it clear that playing with the injury is “not fun” – but that battling with his “brothers” is.

“My shoulder’s out of whack, I’m not even going to lie to you,” Lamb said. “I’m just out there battling and do what I do. It’s not fun.”

The win over the Buccaneers makes it four wins in five for Mike McCarthy‘s team. Some weren’t expecting Sunday night’s performance, given that the Washington Commanders beat the Philadelphia Eagles, officially eliminating Dallas from playoff contention earlier in the day.

And now there isn’t much to play for in Dallas’ final two games … though to his credit Lamb has been doing all he can to justify his new $34 million per year contract.

“Great to see, obviously the grit we going through, the situation that we in,” Lamb said. “As for us, we’re showing gratitude to the game and showing how much we love and appreciate everything and every opportunity that we get, and going out there and playing our (expletive) off.”
