Deadpool & Wolverine star Ryan Reynolds and his mother Tammy slip into fan mode to support his Wrexham AFC soccer team in Vancouver
Ryan Reynolds has been out in force the past month promoting his latest superhero adventure, Deadpool & Wolverine, all around the world.
But after wrapping up the long tour the Hollywood leading man got to relax and spend quality time with his mother Tammy as fanboy of the soccer team he co-owns, Wrexham Association Football Club, as they faced off against the Vancouver Whitecaps FC in his hometown of Vancouver, Canada.
Being that he’s the bossman of the club, as well as one of the biggest A-list movie stars, Reynolds got to sit in a VIP box, alongside his mom and other friends and colleagues at BC Place Stadium.
Never one to subdue his enthusiasm for something he loves, the actor, writer, producer and businessman yelled and cheered The Red Dragons on, all while trying to get the fans involved by taking selfies as he leaned over the railing a few feet.
In the end, Reynolds got to watch his club deliver a 4-1 win over the Vancouver Whitecaps in front of 34,738 fans in his hometown on Saturday, according to

During the match, Reynolds could be seen getting animated in the private box, chatting with his mother and the other guests in the the VIP box.
The Deadpool star looked stylish in dark green trousers with a black Hawaiian-style shirt over a white tank top, with his dark brown hair styled short and slightly spiky.
His mother looked lovely in her pinkish-red and white striped, button-down shirt and a black baseball cap over her short gray tresses.
There appeared to be a number of friends and colleagues watching the match with the mother-son pair from inside the box.
At certain points, Reynolds took selfie snaps by leaning over the railing and look back at the camera, all while enthusiastic fans stood and cheered as they tried to get in the photos.
He would first yell out to the fans in the stands to take notice, and then snap away on a bunch of pictures that he eventually shared on his Instagram page.
The cover photo shows the Deadpool star standing arm-in-arm with the club’s other co-owner, Rob McElhenney, who also had his wife with him at the match.
Former Whitecap star, and current Canadian national team captain, Alphonso Davies was also watching with the team’s owners, which was documented with a photo in his social media post.
