Dharmesh Sheth has just dropped a majorly exciting West Ham new transfer claim

West Ham United are apparently in the market for yet another new transfer move this summer.

Julen Lopetegui and Tim Steidten have attacked the summer transfer window with real efficiency, and have been supported incredibly well financially by David Sullivan.

West Ham fans are in dreamland right now, and there is no sign that Lopetegui has any plans to stop with the squad overhaul at the London Stadium.

The Spaniard has made huge upgrades in pretty much every single position, but now the attention is turning to shifting on some of the deadwood.

Danny Ings, Maxwel Cornet and Kurt Zouma are all said to be surplus to requirements under Lopetegui, and if they are all moved on, we could be set for at least one more new arrival.

Has there been a better transfer window for West Ham in the history of transfer windows? I don’t think there has been one that even comes close to this one.

The name doing the rounds right now is Paris Saint-Germain star Carlos Soler, with a £17 million move being mooted for the 27-year-old.

So is Lopetegui really still on the hunt for further central midfield reinforcements this summer?

Majorly exciting West Ham new transfer claim

You could be forgiven for thinking that the Hammers’ summer business is all done and dusted.

Eight new signings is quite the statement of intent from Lopetegui, Steidten and Sullivan after all.

However, there could still be plenty more twists and turns yet.

Lopetegui is said to be eyeing up at least one more key signing before the transfer window slams shut on August 30th.

According to Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth, the Hammers chief is far from done with his summer transfer business.

Sheth claims that the Hammers head coach is still very much in the market for another central midfielder.

That would definitely make sense with Flynn Downes having left the London Stadium, and Tomas Soucek being heavily linked with an exit.

If Julen Lopetegui manages to bring in someone like Carlos Soler, West Ham will have an incredibly well-rounded squad in pretty much every single department.

The 2024/25 season is shaping up to be a hugely exciting one for the Hammers, make no mistake about that.

And Sheth’s claim has just highlighted how the summer transfer window could be set to get even better.
