We meant to mention this a while ago, but did you hear about Jimmy Rollins? He’s been selected as one of the 2025 Toyota Phillies Wall of Fame inductees. Sure, that has nothing to do with the Philadelphia Eagles. We realize that isn’t why you clicked on. We just wanted you to know how happy we are about that.

Now, back to the Birds. What a week, huh? They certainly aren’t boring. Their offseason is officially over, and it’s time to build another winner.

This time around, we talk player movement, and coaching hires, and comp picks. What can we say? There are no days off at the NovaCare Complex.

Eagles news: Parris Campbell defects to the Dallas Cowboys.

The Parris Campbell era is over in Philadelphia. That probably won’t create shockwaves, but we’d like to thank him.

Signed on March 21st, 2024. He was released on August 27 and re-signed to the practice squad. Promoted to the active roster on October 12, he notched six receptions (including one that found the end zone) and 30 yards receiving en route to his first time being called a champion.

He moves on now. Like Miles Sanders, he’s been signed by the Dallas Cowboys after the Eagles allowed him to leave as a free agent. We can’t say we wish him luck for obvious reasons, but we’re happy he gets a shot to keep playing.

More Eagles news: Philly adds another assistant coach to the nest.

The players’ roster isn’t the only one the Birds have had to reshape this season. They’ve also made changes to the coaching staff. Among the significant losses were Kellen Moore, Doug Nussmeier, and T.J. Paganetti. The Birds promoted Kevin Patullo to offensive coordinator to offset the loss of Moore. Scot Loeffler is the new QBs coach.

Another hire has been reported. Matt Zenith of CBS Sports informs us UAB chief of staff/executive director of football operations Cole Peterson has been hired as assistant to coach Nick Sirianni.

Trent Dilfer is the head coach of UAB. We thought you might find that interesting, and though Birmingham and Philly are as different as two cities can be, if Philly felt good enough about Peterson to hire him, that’s good enough for us.

Let’s hope he’s ready for this opportunity.

Even more Eagles news: Philly is expected to earn four comp picks.

We wrap this one with an always-interesting topic at this time of year, compensatory picks.

Philly wasn’t awarded any this time, but there are theories they may earn as many as four next March.
