Fans Worried for Simone Biles After Gymnast’s Social Media Post

Posted on October 1, 2024 by admin
Simone Biles is not feeling 100% amid her national tour.

Simone Biles cemented her status as a gymnastics legend during the 2024 Paris Olympics. After winning three gold and one silver medal, Biles returned to America as the most-decorated gymnast, male or female, in U.S. history.

While Biles celebrated her success for a few weeks, throwing out the first pitch at a Texas Rangers game, attending the U.S. Open, and catching an Indiana Fever game, the 27-year-old was soon back in the gym preparing to headline the “Gold Over America Tour,” aptly nicknamed the GOAT.

The GOAT, which kicked off earlier this month, stops in 30 cities across the nation. Over the weekend, the tour had back-to-back shows at the Fiserv Forum in Minneapolis on Saturday and the United Center in Chicago on Sunday. Before the second performance, Biles made it to Soldier Field to watch her husband Chicago Bears‘ safety Jonathan Owens’ help defeat the Los Angeles Rams 24-17.

On Monday, Biles posted a simple message on Threads that sparked concern over her well-being.

She posted, “🪫🪫,” which immediately turned some heads, as fans want to see her at 100%.

One fan commented, “Nooooo🥺🥺.” One woman wrote, “Please recharge , I can’t wait to see you tomorrow at NJ GOAT tour stop 😃.”

One person responded, “It’s okay to be tired, but your grit and gift are truly one of a kind. You’re shining so bright, Simone! We’re all cheering you on! ✨💪🏼.” Another fan posted, “oh no someone recharge the GOAT! we need power stat!! 🔋🔌.”

In an interview with NESN last week, Biles opened up the fatigue brought upon by her profession and questions about her possible retirement. “I think these last five to six years, we’re really pushing that past our boundaries with the proper training and recovery.” the 11-time Olympic medalist said.

“Everyone just wants to know what’s next to be the first to report it, and so, right now, it’s working on my mental and physical health before I make any commitments. Again, for gymnastics it’s not like we have an offseason. As soon as we start training, we’re in the for the long haul for those three to four years.”

Thankfully, Biles gets to take a breather following the tour’s stop in Fort Worth, Texas on October 20, after which there’s no shows scheduled for a week. The GOAT’s final show is on November 3.
