Former Braves pitcher Juan Jaime has passed, per report

Juan Jaime, a former pitcher for the Atlanta Braves, has passed away at the age of 37 on December 27, 2024.

Born on August 2, 1987, in San Cristóbal, Dominican Republic, Jaime began his professional baseball career with the Washington Nationals’ organization. He later played for the Arizona Diamondbacks before joining the Atlanta Braves. Jaime made his Major League Baseball debut with the Braves on June 20, 2014, and played with the team through the 2015 season. Known for his powerful fastball, he also had stints with the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Chunichi Dragons in Japan’s Nippon Professional Baseball.

Throughout his career, Jaime was recognized for his impressive strikeout ability and his contributions to the teams he played for. His passing is a significant loss to the baseball community, and he will be remembered for his talent and dedication to the sport.
