One of the Georgia Bulldogs’ top running back recruiting targets is Carsyn Baker, a four-star running back out of Langston Hughes High School. Baker is a top 40 prospect in Georgia.
Georgia, Kentucky, Penn State, South Carolina, and Texas A&M are at the top of his contender list thus far in his recruiting process.
His standout performance in the 2024 state championship helped keep things interesting before Langston Hughes fell to Milton High School, 56-35. Baker he rushed for 136 yards with three touchdowns on just 15 carries. In the state championship, Baker showed off his elite speed on a 70 yard touchdown run. He showed off his balance and strength when he broke arm tackles.
In the race to land a commitment from Baker, South Carolina is a program to keep an eye on. The Gamecocks have gained momentum on the recruiting trail due to their strong finish in the second half of last season.
Expect Georgia to be in the thick of things until the end of Baker’s recruitment. The 6-foot-1, 205-pound running back is ranked the No. 329 player in the class of 2026 and the No. 26 running back, per 247Sports. Baker is the No. 40 recruit in Georgia in the junior class.
