Georgia football just signed one of the top recruiting classes in the country in the 2025 class. This has become the new norm in Athens, but this year marks the third year in a row that Georgia has finished in the top two of the On3 team rankings.
Kirby Smart’s class did unfortunately finish behind Texas who signed the top class in the country, but no one should be upset with finishing No. 2. Especially when you consider all the talent they are bringing in across the board at almost evey position.
This includes seven players who according to On3’s final rankings were ranked inside the top 100 players in the entire 2025 recruiting class.
7 Top 100 players
5-star DL Elijah Griffin – No. 3
5-star EDGE Isaiah Gibson – No. 8
5-star WR Talyn Taylor – No. 22
4-star TE Elyiss Williams – No. 46
4-star LB Zayden Walker – No. 60
4-star OT Dennis Uzochukwu – No. 78
4-star WR Thomas Blackshear – No. 85
Key Takeaways
Georgia once again is loading up in the trenches as they have two players in the top 10 of On3’s rankings on the defensive line. Elijah Griffin and Isaiah Gibson compliment each other extremely well and will be names that UGA fans will grow to love over the next few years.
The Bulldogs also signed Dennis Uzochukwu who finished No. 78 in the country and is one of the top offensive tackles in this class.
Wide receiver is another position that Georgia recruited extremely well this cycle. The Bulldogs are bringing in a lot of talent at the position, with the top player by far is Talyn Taylor from Illinois. He is the first five-star wide receiver for Georgia since 2019 and is someone who will compete for playing time next fall. Georgia also signed a second wide receiver in the top 100 with Thomas Blackshear who finished at No. 85 according to On3.
