The Las Vegas Raiders play the Miami Dolphins this week after coming off of their bye. Recently, head coach Antonio Pierce expressed his excitement for his tight end Michael Mayer returning to the team this week after missing a significant amount of time.
The team officially announced that Mayer has been activated from the reserve list prior to Sunday’s game, which can be a big lift offensively.
With rookie Brock Bowers still listed as the best option at the position, Mayer’s return could be useful to get Bowers some rest. With new offensive staff after the recent firings including former coordinator Luke Getsy, Las Vegas has some new hope going forward.
Even with the new hype around the franchise, fans are still hoping that the team is able to secure a top draft pick in 2025. The Raiders currently hold a top-five pick in the draft, and fans want them to use that on a new quarterback like Cam Ward or Shedeur Sanders.
Las Vegas has one of the tougher schedules in the league going forward, so it is likely that they will finish with one of the worst records in the league and secure that top-five pick as they currently sit at 2-7.
