Goodbyes are never easy, and this is especially true for one of the top women golfers, Lexi Thompson. Earlier this year, just before the 2024 US Open, the eleven-time LPGA Tour winner announced her retirement from the sport, citing the intense demands of professional golf. However, it appears that Thompson had her post-retirement plans well-prepared before making the heartbreaking announcement to retire from professional golf. Despite 2024 being her final season, she chose to continue her pattern, starting in 2019, of not participating in the latest major, the Amundi Evian Championship. So, what exactly are her plans after leaving the sport for good?
Lexi Thompson is ready to take her passion for fitness to the next level
In a recent Instagram story, the one-time major winner shared a poll asking her audience to respond with ‘yes’ or ‘no’ to the question, “Who’s excited about joining the Lexi Fitness App Team?!” This confirmed the launch of her fitness app, a project she had hinted at in the recent past.
Discussing her retirement plans before the 2024 US Open, she hinted at this upcoming venture: “No, of course, I’ve thought about it. I’m super into fitness. Hopefully, I’ll have my Lexi Fitness app up and going very soon. And just enjoying life.“ In the last month of last year, she shared an Instagram post acknowledging her passion for fitness and its benefits. She also discussed her thoughts on starting a fitness app and its potential content. The caption read: “Hii everybody! So as most of you know, fitness is a huge part of my life/routine and definitely a passion of mine. It’s helped me out tremendously mentally and physically. I’m actually thinking of starting my own fitness app including my workouts that I do on a daily, maybe some golf drills and practice sessions as well. What do you guys think ??” Beyond fitness, Lexi Thompson has other ventures to pursue after bidding farewell to golf.
Lexi Thompson is not restricted to fitness when it comes to business
The one-time major winner owns a skincare brand, ‘Lexi Skin.’ The brand’s engaging motto, “Skincare Made for You,” and its vibrant pink and white color scheme, cater to individuals leading active lifestyles like the 29-year-old herself. The skincare line promises “real results” from “head to toe.” Given that this energetic brand’s social media presence has been inactive since 2022, it’s plausible that retirement will allow the 29-year-old entrepreneur to focus fully on enhancing her brand and increasing her steadily growing net worth. With multiple ventures in hand, it seems Lexi Thompson is poised to step away from golf and tee off a new phase of her life
