The Los Angeles Dodgers will complete another incredible offseason, doing more than any team in Major League Baseball.
Andrew Friedman isn’t satisfied with just winning one World Series. As a result, he made moves for Blake Snell, Roki Sasaki, and others.
While it’s been impressive, Jack Flaherty, a significant piece in the Dodgers winning the 2024 World Series, still remains on the open market.
It’s uncertain why Flaherty is available, but there were reports during the trade deadline that he had a back issue. It could be that, or he might not have an offer he loves yet.
During his time with Los Angeles, he proved he was worth at least $100 million. He posted a 3.58 ERA and struck out 61 in 55 1/3 innings.

A handful of teams could use his services, including the Los Angeles Angels.
David Schoenfield of ESPN believes that’s where Flaherty will land this winter, adding that the Angels could compete in a relatively weak American League West.
“The Angels’ payroll is about where it was last season but still well below the luxury tax threshold — and they certainly could use another starting pitcher if they’re serious about trying to contend in what could be a wide-open American League West,” Schoenfield wrote.
Born in California, Flaherty could be willing to stay in Los Angeles and play for the Angels. They’re far from what the Dodgers are, but there are plenty of perks playing in California.
