The Los Angeles Rams have had a successful offseason so far. Matthew Stafford is back and seemingly happy. They were able to flip Jonah Jackson for a draft pick. Alaric Jackson is extended and the left tackle of the future. And Davante Adams will now be running routes alongside Puka Nacua.
One position that they desperately need to upgrade is linebacker. Not just upgrade, they need to actually fill out the roster as Omar Speights is currently the only starting quality LB on the team.
There are still options in free agency for them to add, or they can wait until the draft.
Outside of linebacker, they have filled most of their needs, so they could go in a number of different directions with the 26th overall pick.
The 33rd Team just released their latest Mock Draft, and they have the Rams going with a versatile cornerback with their first selection.
Los Angeles Rams Select Texas CB Jahdae Barron In Latest Mock Draft
Currently, the Rams starting cornerback room is Darious Williams, Cobie Durant, and Quentin Lake as the nickel. There is a lot of chatter about them bringing Ahkello Witherspoon back, but that has yet to happen.
James Foster, NFL Analyst for The 33rd Team, writes in his mock draft:
“The Rams take Jahdae Barron, adding a versatile chess piece to their defensive backfield. In his five years at Texas, Barron recorded over 500 snaps at safety, slot, and outside cornerback.”

The Rams love adding versatile players that give them options. For example, Quentin Lake was a safety at UCLA and played nickel corner last year.
Barron played all over the defensive backfield for Texas and finished last season with 67 tackles, 5 interceptions, and 11 passes defensed.
While I still think linebacker is the biggest position of need, Barron would be a really solid pick that would give the Rams so many options.
