Manor Solomon set to complete Leeds move within next 24 hrs

Tottenham Hotspur winger Manor Solomon will join Leeds United imminently on a season-long loan deal, according to The Athletic.

The 25-year-old is expected to complete the transfer on Tuesday. His move to Elland Road could help him secure playing time after a limited spell at Spurs.

Solomon joined Tottenham last summer from Shakhtar Donetsk on a free transfer following an impressive loan spell at Fulham.

However, his time in north London has been hampered by injury, limiting him to just six appearances.

With the arrival of Wilson Odobert from Burnley adding to Spurs’ attacking options, the Israeli international will struggle to secure regular playing time under manager Ange Postecoglou.

He has not made the matchday squads for Tottenham’s two Premier League fixtures this season, and the signs are on the wall that he is not in the manager’s plans.

The loan move to Leeds will allow him to showcase his talents and potentially earn a permanent deal with the West Yorkshire club.

While there was late interest from other clubs, Solomon is set to join Leeds on a loan deal that does not include an option to buy.

Spurs have had a busy summer transfer window, signing Dominic Solanke, Wilson Odobert, Archie Gray, Timo Werner, Yang Min-hyeok, and Lucas Bergvall.

Tottenham needed to let several players go. Oliver Skipp, Emerson Royal, Joe Rodon, Eric Dier, Ryan Sessegnon, Tanguy Ndombele, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Ivan Perisic, Japhet Tanganga, Troy Parrott, Bryan Gil, Alejo Veliz, Ashley Phillips and Dane Scarlett are all heading out of the door,

Sergio Reguilon, Giovani Lo Celso, Alfie Devine, and Solomon are expected to join them.

Failing to Live up to the Hype

Solomon arrived on English shores highly touted after emerging as one of the most exciting talents in Ukrainian football.

The diminutive winger has pace and dribbling ability for days. He also possesses a fierce shot that makes him a danger when cutting inside.

However, his time at the club has ultimately been a disappointment. Despite showcasing his potential during his loan spell at Fulham, Solomon has underwhelmed in North London.

His injury issues have undoubtedly played a role, but his time at the club looks set to end with a frustrating anti-climax.
