Newcastle United fans have raised new concerns after Sven Botman shared images of his recovery from injury via his social media.
The centre-back suffered a second cruciate ligament injury in March and underwent surgery, having only recently recovered from a blow to his opposite knee.
However, just five months after the surgery, images have emerged of Botman back out on grass during his individual recovery programme.
Previous images shared in July saw fans raise concerns about the speed of his recovery, worrying that he was being rushed back like he was before the latest blow.
Now, after the latest footage was shared, those concerns have returned amid suggestions that his recovery may be worryingly ahead of schedule.
The image also displayed the extent of the scarring on his knee as a result of the surgery to aid his recovery as fans were left stunned.
However, the seemingly rapid progress from such a major injury is leading some to suggest the defender may be “finished” while others feared the possibility of further injury blows
