According to multiple reports, Avon four-star athlete Jakob Weatherspoon has committed to the Ohio State football recruiting class of 2026.
Weatherspoon is ranked the No. 9 prospect in the state of Ohio by 247Sports. He has played cornerback and safety for the Eagles. He also competes for the school’s track team.
What does Jakob Weatherspoon’s commitment mean for Ohio State football’s recruiting ratings?
Weatherspoon joins wide receivers Chris Henry (Mater Dei High School, California), Jaeden Ricketts (Watkins Memorial) and tight end Corbyn Fordham (The Bolles School, Florida) in the 2026 class.
Those commitments have Ohio State ranked 12th nationally with Oregon, Texas A&M, Penn State, USC and Tennessee comprising the 247Sports’ top five. Oregon has 10 commitments.
