Senior Ole Miss starting quarterback Jaxson Dart is just five days away from the start of his ‘Last Dance’ campaign and third season in Oxford.
When Lane Kiffin initially added Dart to the roster as a transfer in the 2022 offseason, he was one of 18 members a part of Ole Miss’ No. 2 overall transfer class. The sophomore in Dart had to compete for the starting role and earned it about a month into the 2022 season. The Rebels were scorching hot seven weeks into the season, boasting a 7-0 record going into Week 8. A month later, the Rebels finished the season 8-5, losing their last four games and leaving more questions than answers heading into that offseason.
Based on what we heard from players and coaches, it seemed like the cause for the late season collapse was that the team wasn’t close enough to overcome adversity when it inevitably hit them during the home stretch of the season.
