Serena Williams is giving her fans and followers their first glimpse of her most recent bundle of joy, her second child Adira Ohanian.
In news that can only be described as “now isn’t this the sweetest thing,” the tennis champ shared a handful of photos of her daughter on her official Instagram page over the weekend. The pics were posted in collaboration with Adira’s own Instagram page which is already sitting pretty at over 40,000 followers.
“Oh hello there- I know it’s been over a year but I’m just getting to this,” the caption read.
“So obsessed with you my love,” Serena wrote in the comment section.
Proud dad Alexis Sr. took a more comic approach, noting the similarity between Adira and her older sister Alexis Jr., writing: “You sure these aren’t old @olympiaohanian photos!!!???.”
Folks in the comments echoed Alexis Sr.’s sentiments.
“Aww! Copy paste of her big sister. Too cute,” said one user.
“A carbon copy of Olympia!! So sweet” wrote another.
“So basically @alexisohanian and @serenawilliams y’all gave birth to the same child twice?” another said.
One user also decided to joke, poking fun at the lack of the tennis star’s resemblance in the new child, writing: “Serena, your gene needs to fight back…back to back damn.”
Serena and Alexis Sr. revealed they were expecting their second child back in May 2023, when they appeared at the Met Gala. In a post to social media in August, Serena shared the meaning of her daughter’s name, explaining that “Adira” was of Hebrew origin and meant “strong, mighty and majestic.”
