Carlos Alcaraz will team up with legendary Spanish star Rafael Nadal for the men’s doubles tennis tournament at the 2024 Olympics in Paris.
Two players at opposing ends of their careers will carry Spain’s challenge in Paris with Alcaraz heading into the competition on the back of beating rival Novak Djokovic in a second successive Wimbledon final.
This summer is Alcaraz’s first appearance at the Olympics, as he looks to build on a Wimbledon and French Open double in 2024, with Nadal opting against competing at Wimbledon to prepare for the Olympics.

Nadal and Alcaraz will take on Argentine duo Andres Molteni and Maximo Gonzalez in the opening round on Saturday, July 27 at approximately 1 p.m. ET.

Rafael Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz Olympic results
2024 is Alcaraz’s first showing on the Olympic stage, but it will be Nadal’s fourth and final appearance, after competing in 2004, 2008 and 2016.
He won gold in 2008, in the singles event, beating Fernando Gonzalez in the final in Beijing.
After bowing out in the First and Second Rounds in 2004 and 2008 respectively, Nadal won gold in the doubles event with Marc Lopez in 2016.
