In a key development, Real Madrid appear to have secured the services of defensive prodigy Lamini Fati.
According to MARCA, the young defender is all set to join Los Blancos from his parent club Leganes, for a nominal fee.

The transfer fee is set at around €120,000, with additional variables contingent on Fati’s performance at Real Madrid.
Born in Madrid to an Angolan mother and a father from Guinea-Bissau, Fati has been recognized for his physical prowess, standing at 1.80 meters tall.
Despite a recent jaw injury that necessitated surgery and caused him to miss Leganes’ last match of the year, the transfer was expedited, which suggests the club have much faith in the youngster.
Fati has successfully passed his medical examination and signed a five-year contract with the club. His move was facilitated by the excellent relations between Real Madrid and Leganes, avoiding the activation of his release clause.
Fati will initially join Real Madrid C, although his ultimate placement could shift to the youth team depending on his performance and the team’s needs.
His journey will begin at Valdebebas from Friday, but his actual debut will be delayed until the January transfer window fully opens.
This acquisition is part of Real Madrid’s ongoing strategy to bolster their youth academy, especially with several players sidelined due to injuries.
The club are still assessing whether more signings are necessary for the lower categories. Fati has had some exposure to first-team training under Borja Jimenez this season, although he has been playing for Leganes in the Third Federation.
