Ryan Reynolds has shared a series of behind the scenes pictures of Paul Mullin during his cameo appearance in the latest Deadpool film.
The Wrexham co-owner has been hot on the publicity trail of late following the UK release of the third film, Deadpool & Wolverine.
As well as a blockbuster cast including superstar Hugh Jackman, Reynolds made sure that that there was space for ‘his special someone’ in his latest project.
Taking to X, Reynolds wrote: “You may have noticed one member of the Deadpool Corps was far deadlier than the rest. WELSHPOOL.”
Among the images, Mullin could be seen on set with Reynolds.
While Reynolds is wearing his famous Deadpool outfit, Mullin is wearing a version of the outfit with a Welsh flag emblazoned across his chest.
The prolific striker’s appearance in the Hollywood blockbuster may have been a surprise to some, but at talkSPORT, the possibility was hinted at more than 12 months ago.
The topic of a Wrexham cameo was put to director, Humphrey Ker, by talkSPORT’s Ally McCoist in April last year and he far from ruled it out.
“I’ve not had this conversation but I’d be quite surprised if not.
“Ryan is very good at layering through all his different parts and elements of his life and his career, they all intersect in all sorts of different ways.
“I think that there were Aviation Gin references in the last one, and I’m sure there will be… who knows, Paul Mullin to play an X-Men, who knows?”
