St Helens second-rower and England international Paige Travis has left the club in order to join National Women’s Rugby League (NRLW) side Parramatta Eels until 2026.
The 25-year-old has been part of a Saints side that has dominated women’s rugby league in the recent past, including winning a historic Women’s Challenge Cup, League Leaders’ Shield and Women’s Super League treble in 2021.
She also won four Challenge Cups in a row between 2021 and 2024, including the first-ever final at Wembley in 2023.
“I am thrilled to be joining the Parramatta Eels and to challenge myself in the NRLW,” Travis told the Australian club’s website.
“I’ve watched a lot of NRLW games, and the Eels have really impressed me as a team who play with passion and for each other.”
Travis made 65 appearances for Saints, scoring 35 tries and 140 points during that period.
She has so far won eight England caps and featured for her country during the 2021 Rugby League World Cup.
“My six years at this incredible club has taught me a lot about myself, both on and off the field,” the departing Travis told the Saints website.
“I love the girls and the staff, they have become part of my family – but it’s time for me to push myself and take this next step in my career.”
