E AST LANSING, MI –– It was a dream turned reality for Detroit Pistons owner Tom Gores, Phoenix Suns owner Matt Ishbia on Tuesday, Oct. 8 at the Breslin Center.

The pair teamed up to bring an NBA game to their alma mater, marking the first time an NBA game was played at Michigan State University.
The Suns, powered by forward Kevin Durant’s 21-point performance, defeated the Pistons 105-97 in preseason action.
Pistons guard Jaden Ivey had 16 points, five assists, and four rebounds. Center Jalen Duren had 17 points and grabbed five rebounds.

Tom Izzo got a chance to watch a game at the Breslin from the stands –– connecting with Ishbia, a former player, and Gores throughout.

Grand Rapids native Devin Booker returned to his home state and revealed a new look on his Nike Book 1’s: A Michigan State color-way with a small gruff Sparty on the side.
During warm-ups he rocked a plain grey cut-off, Michigan State shorts and the ‘Michigan State’ 1’s.
Earlier in the day Booker attended practice and gave all the Michigan State basketball players a pair of the new shoes.

After spending time with the Pistons and Nuggets last season, Flint native Monte Morris returned to the Breslin Center as a Phoenix Sun.

The last time Morris played on the court he secured back-to-back state championships for Beecher High School.
The Pistons continue preseason action Monday, at Golden State.
