Simone Biles may be racking up gold medals, but she’s not exactly popping bottles to celebrate—at least, not ones that cost more than a car.
The 27-year-old gymnastics legend spilled some tea on TikTok, revealing that a Parisian nightclub tried to charge her a jaw-dropping $26,000 for a single bottle of bubbly after the Olympics wrapped up last week.
“After the closing ceremonies, we went out, and y’all, this club tried to charge me $26,000 for a bottle of champagne,” Biles shared in her August 20 TikTok video. “Like, are you serious? Obviously, I didn’t buy it. But why would they even try to play me like that? That’s wild.”
Biles didn’t name the club, but the internet had her back, with tons of comments echoing her disbelief. One person summed it up perfectly: “$26k is crazy.”
Partying aside, Biles also participated in the closing ceremonies for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, where she had the honor of carrying the Olympic Flag. She passed it off to none other than Tom Cruise, symbolizing the handover to the 2028 Los Angeles Games.
Alongside several snaps from the once-in-a-lifetime moment, Biles wrote, “Such an honor. I haven’t found the right words to describe my Olympic experience—it’s been a whirlwind… but I do know I’ll be forever grateful to represent the United States.”
Biles wrapped up her 2024 Paris Olympic journey in spectacular fashion, bringing home three gold medals, one silver, and even breaking a record.
As for whether she’ll be back in 2028? That’s still up in the air. But one thing’s for sure: The Texas native has her sights set on starting a family one day with her husband, Jonathan Owens.
In a recent chat with Hoda Kotb on Today, Biles spilled that she and Jonathan are definitely planning for kids.
“He would’ve had them yesterday if he could have,” she joked. “We both have goals we want to achieve first, but yes, that’s definitely in our future.” When asked if she sees herself as a mom one day, Biles didn’t hesitate: “Yes, most definitely.”
