Water, sun and all things fun as our favourite Springboks escape on a couples getaway to Mauritius.
Following a demanding season which saw them play back-to-back matches against Irelands, followed by a game against Portugal, and then entering a lengthy Rugby Championship campaign, our favourite Springbok players have decided to nuture the painful bruises on their bodies to have some time of relaxation.
A recent post shared by Layla Kolbe, wife of winger Cheslin Kolbe, shows her and her family touching down on Mauritian soil as they were accompanied by teammates Faf de Klek, his wife Miné, Vincent Koch and his wife Jandre, as well as the newly crowned, most capped Springbok of all time, Eben Etzebeth, his wife Anlia and their daughter.
Captioning her post Layla wrote: “Family holiday like no other, at Clubmed.”
An Instagram reel has shown how the group enjoyed the breathtaking views of the ocean complimented by a backdrop of palm trees setting the perfect tone of serenity.
In a post of his own Cheslin pointed out that this was the first time their family had a proper holiday as he shared some snaps of himself, Layla and their children.
Meanwhile, Mauritius is not the only place where our Boks are refreshing. Captain Siya Kolisi and his family have also been spending some quality time together by going on a safari drive at the Monwana Lodge. They explored all there was to see about South African wildlife before settling the day with a delicious braai.
