Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Yves Bissouma made it two goals in as many games for Mali over the international break with a goal against Eswatini in Africa Cup Of Nations qualifying.
Bissouma had scored in Mali’s first game of the break, in a 1-1 draw against Mozambique, and followed it up here with the only goal of the game to secure an important three points away in Eswatini.
With his wonder goal against Everton last month, it has been a very good start to the season for Bissouma, putting his off-field disappointment behind him and clearly managing to focus on the task at hand for both club and country. The goal against Everton was his first-ever goal for the club, and he only had three goals in 37 appearances for Mali, before these two in his last two games. Clearly a man inspired.
