Bryan King has blasted Tottenham midfielder Yves Bissouma after his recent “childish antics”.
The ex-Spurs scout believes the Malian’s goal in Spurs’ 4-0 win over Everton on Saturday (24 August) will have helped him to earn back Ange Postecoglou’s trust.
Bissouma was handed a club-imposed one-match suspension after a video emerged which appeared to show the midfielder inhaling laughing gas (via Sky Sports News, 15 August).
And King – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – claims the 27-year-old must ensure he watches his behaviour in the future.
“His goal was absolutely tremendous,” King said.
“It was a great strike and it looks as though he has earned back Postecoglou’s trust. He is a decent player, but when you’re involved in stupid antics like he was, there are going to be repercussions.
“He was left out of the first game after a ridiculous situation. I think he will now need to be careful how he represents his football club in the future, he can’t get caught up in childish antics like that again.
“However, he has proved he is a decent player for Spurs, and the strike against Everton was fantastic.”
