Taylor Swift’s “Eras Tour” has taken over Vancouver, British Columbia for the weekend, and Saturday marked the second concert of the three-night residence.
Saturday night also marked the Vancouver Canucks’ players only opportunity to take in the singer-songwriter’s global tour.
The Canucks played a home game on Friday at Rogers Arena — at the same time that Swift held her first show down the road at BC Place — and will host the Tampa Bay Lightning on Sunday just as the “Eras Tour” reaches its finale.
The biggest Swiftie on the Canucks, Jake DeBrusk, wasn’t sure if he was going to attend Saturday’s show. Even though the veteran winger wanted to see the “Bad Blood” singer for a second time, he found it difficult to justify the price of admission this time around.
“I wish I could go to this one, but the tickets are just so insane,” DeBrusk said on Thursday, per Canucks Army’s David Quadrelli. “At least in Boston, I was there for a couple of years, so I had people help me out to get some tickets.”
DeBrusk seemed fairly certain about his decision, but that was on Thursday and a lot can change in two days.
Fast forward to Saturday night, and it looks like the 28-year-old Canucks winger has changed his tune.
