Washington Capitals Stats
– Jakob Chychrun has points in four of his last five games.
– Ivan Miroshnichenko has found the scoresheet in three of his last four games.
Washington Capitals Storylines
– Keep an eye on Dylan Strome. The 27-year-old has yet to go longer than two games this season without a point, and he’s certainly looking to get back on the scoresheet.
– Hendrix Lapierre has also been finding his game since moving to the wing. Look for him to keep trying to get his game going in the right direction as he rebuilds confidence following a slow start to the year
– Washington’s power play has goals in five of the last six games and nine of the last 11 overall. It took a step back last game, but will be pivotal against the Maple Leafs.
– Toronto has Auston Matthews back in the mix, and the last game between these two clubs saw three disallowed goals in one game. Watch for it to be a spirited affair.
