On Wednesday, the Jets announced their game initiatives and giveaways schedule for the 2024 regular season. Starting with the 2024 home opener — presented by Verizon & LED Wristband Experience Courtesy of Pepsi –- on Thursday night, Sept. 19 against the Patriots, fans can expect an assortment of giveaways, events and themed celebrations throughout the season.
As previously announced, the Jets will debut “The Classic” uniform when they host their AFC East rivals, the Bills, on Monday night, Oct. 14. The uniform pays tribute to the ensemble the team wore in its 1968 championship season in addition to the familiar design of the uniform worn from 1998-2018.
Including the home opener against New England and their first matchup with Buffalo, the Jets will play in four home primetime matchups this season. They will play host to the Texans for a Halloween throwdown on Thursday night, Oct. 31, before hosting the Colts on Sunday night, Nov. 17 a little over two weeks later. The matchup with Indianapolis will also be the Jets’ Salute to Service game.
The home opener will be Lupus Research Awareness Day. The event is designed to increase awareness of the devastating autoimmune disease and help raise funds supporting lupus research for new treatments and ultimately a cure.
In all, the Jets’ schedule features a range of league-wide initiatives including Crucial Catch presented by Atlantic Health System on Sept. 29, My Cause My Cleats on Dec. 3, First Responders Day on Dec. 22, and Fan Appreciation the final week of the season.
In addition, the Jets 50/50 raffle presented by Helix Wireless, the official IoT partner of the Jets, will return for the 2024 season. Fans can purchase raffle tickets throughout MetLife Stadium for a chance to split the raffle jackpot with a highlighted charity each game.
